Khana Musa Mhlongo, born in Thulamahashe in Bushbuckridge, Mpumalanga Province. A little boy who started singing at the age of five, with two full length albums already to his credit, Khana has earned a reputation as one of the crafty producers and artist with two feet firmly planted in the gospel music circle.
He still remembers his first song like it was yesterday, “This is the day that the Lord has made” he belt the notes so perfectly to the disbelief of adults in that church service, he left them no choice but to make him part of the worship team at his former church of Presbyterian. School Morning Assembly was another platform for Khana to show off his unique singing voice, by that young age he knew exactly what he wanted to do when he grows up. At the tender age of twelve, he gave his life to God; he found more reasons to praise. He joined Fountain of Living Waters Ministries which to this day is still his spiritual home, he did not waste any time, he joined their Worship team and soon after completing his grade twelve he headed for Johannesburg to further his studies.
He enrolled for a course in journalism which he did not finish, but later he graduated as a media consultant, when in Gauteng he did not forget his dream of one day becoming one of the top gospel artists in South Africa. He did everything in his power to see it through, he joined Pam studio as a manager and a session singer. This is where he met big gospel names; he shared performance stages with them later. 2009 saw Khana joining Post Office South Africa as a data capture, all he wanted was to raise funds for the recording of his demo CD.
This multi-talented vocalist has not forgotten where he comes from, he is also a motivational speaker who is occasionally seen in various schools around Bushbuckridge addressing critical issues affecting young people, and he goes around honouring performance invitations in and around South Africa. Khana recorded his demo armed not only with melodious voice, he has great faith, he
believed that a day will come where his music will be known by all, he had no knowledge which company will sign him but he knew that he was made for bigger audiences.
This young man is a worshipper of God regardless of his surrounding, he describe himself as a young South African who does not focus on his afflictions but continues to praise God for Who He is.
